IN SUMMER

Warm summer days in the Allgäu are our favourite days. There is so much to discover around the Birkenhof
in Oberstaufen-Steibis. We'll tell you what we like best:
Rideup and down for free on our mountain lifts. Hiking, Nordic walking, (e-)biking or road biking to the most beautiful vantage points. Nature is our home, we feel at home here and afterwards we put our feet up at our swimming pond!

MOUNTAIN RAILWAYS INCLUDED

Our three Oberstaufen cable cars - the Hochgratbahn and the Imberg and Hündle cable cars (all just a few minutes' drive from the hotel) are included in your holiday price in summer. Travelling up to the heights is an experience we really recommend. Enjoy the freedom of the mountains on one of the special mountain railway rides.

HIKING IN THE ALLGÄU

Lace up your hiking boots and head straight from the hotel into nature with unlimited possibilities. On well-maintained and signposted hiking trails with over 250 km in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park and in the Oberstaufen area.

We are the ideal starting point for your exploration tours in the region, where you can discover moors, gorges, forests, animals and plants as well as the lush green hills at the foot of the Hochgrat.

BIKING IN THE ALLGÄU

The journey is our goal - that is our motto. Because the Allgäu doesn't just entice you with
sporting challenges on a mountain bike or racing bike. Less
experienced cyclists are also perfectly at home here. An e-bike tour on
our low-traffic side roads through the gentle Alpine foothills is an enjoyable
