YOGA AT THE BIRKENHOF

At Birkenhof, you can take part in our weeklyone-hour morning yoga session. Our yoga teacher Katja Kügel-Chapagain offers a holistic yoga session with breathing exercises, movements and meditation. Suitable for all levels, as there are always variations in yoga. In our bright yoga room with a view of nature, the day can start as it should: relaxed and ready for whatever comes next!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOGA?


"You can 't describe the value of yoga, you have to experienceit," said B.K.S. Iyengar, one of the first Indian yoga teachers. And we couldn't agree more.

But one thing is certain: you can practise yoga at any age and regardless of your physical condition. You don't have to be able to do a handstand, it's more about mindful awareness. Because movement allows the mind to calm down and the body to recharge its batteries.

YOGA WITH KATJA


Like many in this day and age, our yoga teacher Katja decided to get off the hamster wheel and do yoga training in Thailand and India. She also studied holistic nutritional counselling at the Academy of Naturopathy.

We are glad that her path led her to us: In every class we feel that yoga is a gift for Katja, which she passes on to our guests with passion. You can see this for yourself on holiday at the Birkenhof!
